Twin Locust Furniture

About the Business

If you’re ever in Fredericksburg, Ohio, and happen to drive down Salt Creek Road, there’s one place that might just make you pull over — Twin Locust Furniture at 11575 Salt Creek Rd. It’s not your typical showroom with polished, mass-produced pieces stacked in rows. Nope. This is more like stepping into a story carved in wood, one that’s been passed through generations of skilled hands.

The building itself carries a rustic charm — it feels personal, grounded, and welcoming. As soon as you walk in, the scent of real wood greets you. That’s when you realize: nothing in here is made in haste. Every piece — from the handcrafted dining tables to the sturdy bed frames — radiates patience and craftsmanship. One visit was enough to make me rethink what “quality furniture” really means.

This place blends functionality with timeless design. I spent nearly half an hour just admiring a walnut live-edge table — the curves and grain told its own story. A staff member (who, by the way, spoke as if he built it himself) explained how they work mostly with locally sourced hardwoods like oak, maple, and cherry. And it’s not just furniture — it’s art meant to be used every day, made for real homes with real families.

Beyond the aesthetics, what really impressed me was the transparency in how they operate. No vague sales talk. Everything was explained — from wood selection and joinery techniques to care instructions. It’s clear these folks take pride in what they create. And when you ask about customizing pieces, the answer isn’t a sales pitch; it’s a genuine conversation about your space, your needs, your taste.

There’s a reason why this spot shows up with glowing reviews across different platforms. Customers consistently highlight not just the build quality, but also the personal service. You’re not dealing with a faceless store; you’re talking to people who know the craft and actually care if that table will last in your home for the next 30 years.

Locations like this don’t just sell furniture — they build trust. And it’s rare to find that combination of craftsmanship and customer connection anymore. You’ll find plenty of furniture stores out there, but this one stands apart by being deeply rooted in both tradition and community. Whether you’re furnishing a new home or looking for that one standout piece, stopping by Twin Locust Furniture isn’t just worth your time — it might change your standards for what furniture shopping should feel like.

We visited their showroom and Steve Miller was the best to work with. Patient with us and had a can do attitude to everyone we asked him for to create our custome dining table, 10 chairs, buffet and home office desk. They kept in touch with me over the phone and also handled several tweaks we asked for over the months. The delivery guys they use are also the best, very respectful and took care of everything. Let me just say the pieces turned out as expected with no issues. Highly recommend this place for custom furniture.

Beautiful, hand crafted furniture custom built in nearly any species and literally a hundred finishes. Kind, welcoming staff. A little ways off the main group in the Berlin area, but well worth visiting in Fredericksburg.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. We went to the Pittsburgh Home Show where we first met Twin Locust Furniture. We needed furniture for our new build in SC and they said they deliver there. We took the trip up to their shop in Ohio and brought all our pictures, color samples of the stains and had our fabric delivered. Working with them and getting their professional advice was well accepted. We worked directly with Becky who I would highly recommend. She was the best and very knowledgable. As you can see from the attached pictures… the quality was top notch, solid and every piece was handled with awesome craftsmanship. Our friends that saw the pieces could not believe that the Amish built them. The perception of Amish building furniture was always country or the rustic look. If you are looking for the best look no further. We would definitely ask them to build us more furniture if needed. Thank you again!! Cindy & Chuck

This is my favorite furniture store in the Amish area. We have bought quite a bit of furniture from them. One time we're were looking and found a glider. We hadn't planned on buying that day but decided to get it. We didn't have the check book or enough cash with us. They loaded it in our van and we sent them a check. They don't take credit cards. It's a true Amish store. Very nice people! Quality is amazing!

If you are looking for the finest quality furniture for your home, you will find everything that you need at Twin Locust. Each piece is more beautiful than the last. Today, I picked up some stools for my kitchen Island. I'm still enjoying my gorgeous patio set!
