I ask where is the money that the citizens pay in parking fees and fines going? Certainly not into garage maintenance. The condition of the Hamilton-Main garage in White Plains is frightening!

The garage is filthy! I took a picture on my cellphone of a huge pile of leaves and garbage strewn along the edge of the parking meters on the ground level. Nothing had been swept or cleaned for months. Not only that, but the parking signs are so dirty that it's almost impossible to read the numbers on them, plus a lot of them are bent. Where is the crew? You might say that this is your "union at work." White Plains charges enough to park as well as for overtime parking, one would think that they would put that money to good use and keep the garages clean. Also, I have witnessed large Toyota Tundras and large SUVs come barreling into the garage off Main Street, hitting the yellow, movable bars overhead, knocking them to the ground and then drive through the garage smacking the small steel pipes overhead because these behemoths aren't supposed to be in the garage in the first place and the office people pay absolutely no attention to these trucks. Kids come skateboarding through and nothing is done about them, as well. Disgraceful! Lazy employees and poor maintenance on the part of the leaders in White Plains!

The fact that I am forced into paying for parking in White Plains would lead me to believe the city would have some concern over conditions in their garages!? Nope! Hamilton Main garage is a Brutalism design of cement and steel. It leaks all over, leaving rust residue spots all over my car. There are no security cameras in the parking areas, because why would there be?!? My car has been broken into twice in the last 6 months!I pay a tremendous amount of money for what? Oh right, because I have to! White Pains is so worried about my security that they don't want me parking on the street between 2 am and 6am!? Good thing I am paying to keep me and my car safe!?

I would like to known why the elevators on the Hamilton Avenue side are always out? This garage has 4 elevators the 2 on the side of City Hall are always working but the 2 on the other side are always broken one has been broken for 3 YEARS!
