Bird In Hand Window Sales

About the Business

Tucked along the scenic route of Bird In Hand Window Sales at 3246 Lincoln Hwy E, Paradise, PA 17562, this little-known gem in Lancaster County might just surprise you. It’s not a flashy showroom or a big-box retailer, but a locally grounded point of interest that’s been turning heads—literally—one window at a time. With years of commitment to craftsmanship and a strong pulse on what Pennsylvania homeowners actually need, this establishment offers more than products—it delivers trust.

Walking in, I wasn’t greeted with sales pressure or pushy pitches. Instead, the atmosphere felt like stepping into a neighbor’s workshop—friendly, grounded, and full of honest advice. They had a range of replacement windows on display, from double-hung to casement styles, plus storm doors and vinyl options for every kind of project. The team was quick to explain the difference between energy-efficient glazing and traditional panes, without making it sound like a science lecture. That’s rare.

One thing that stands out from reviews in the area is their responsiveness. A customer just down the road in Ronks mentioned how quickly the crew came out after a windstorm left her patio door off track. And she wasn’t a longtime client—just someone who called on a whim after Googling “window repair near me.” That says a lot. In small-town Pennsylvania, word-of-mouth still reigns supreme, and folks remember who shows up.

From a technical angle, these guys know their frames. The crew walked me through the install process, step-by-step. Measuring day, delivery timeframes, prep work, old window disposal—they’ve clearly done this hundreds of times and still treat every job like it’s the first. That level of care builds confidence, especially for first-time homeowners or those managing renovation projects on tight budgets.

Location-wise, you can’t miss it. Smack between Intercourse and Paradise, it’s right on the Lincoln Highway—a stretch lined with Amish-run bakeries, hardware stores, and hidden treasures like this one. Whether you’re coming from Lancaster city or cruising through Strasburg, it’s an easy stop. A few reviewers even mentioned dropping in while on vacation, drawn in by the simple exterior and the promise of no-nonsense service.

Beyond selling windows, what they really offer is clarity—both literally and figuratively. Clear pricing, clear communication, and a clear sense of pride in what they do. For anyone in the Lancaster area needing replacement windows, door upgrades, or just honest advice from a business that’s been quietly serving the community for years, this place is worth checking out.

We got them to custom stain some fiberglass doors for us, since we couldn't find a color that we liked. Took a sample to them to color match, and they did a wonderful job! Thank you, Reuben for working with us!

I went in and got a tempered frosted window for my front door that was broken and cracked. I think they had to order it. It took a while to take about a week and a half to get in but it was done right also, I ordered some plate glass for picture frames. They did a good job. They were really quick cause they didn’t have to order out And pretty cheap too a lot cheaper than my local glass store up here in Thorndale literally 50-60% cheaper.

The quality of these doors are way better than Lowe’s or Home Depot. The jambs are not wood but poly. Well worth the wait because you do have to order them here. I’m a contractor and have been getting doors here for 5 years. They can order all styles and sizes.

Hope Depot and Lowe’s don’t want you to know what I’m about to tell you. Wanna know a secret? Bird In Hand Window Sales sells more than just windows. Same brand and model doors at Hope Depot was 25% more than BIHWS. Lead times for these doors were 2 weeks less than Home Depot. Great customer service experience!
